Clothing racks, dish drainers, ladles none of these items typically make our hearts flutter. Hay is here to change that. The Scandinavian brand is slowly rolling out its spring collection, and some of the most eye-catching pieces are the most utilitariansuper handy if you live in a small space and dont have room to hide everyday necessities behind closed doors.
Dont get us wrong: The line includes plenty of the vibrant decorative pieces we love and expect from Hay. (Just try and stop us from buying the new travel cups in every color.) But its not often that we come across chic takes on some of our more practical household products, so were welcoming them into our shopping carts with open arms. Take, for example, the dish rack. Designed by Leon Ransmeier, the wavy, stainless steel frame looks more like a countertop sculpture than a run-of-the-mill utensil holder. We also found our dream closet organizers: metal hangers in pale yellow or blush pink for a subtle touch of color among your blouses and blazers.
For sustainability points, pick up one ofthe foldabletotes,which feature a kaleidoscope of six vibrant hueshang yours up in the entry so you remember it on your way out to the grocery store, and never have to choose between paper or plastic again. Speaking of the foyer, Hayscolor-blocked door mat is another must-buy; the two-tone jute weave (it comes in three colorways) is so much more stylish than the nondescript brown variety.
Hay is launching its collection in two parts, with the first series of items up for pre-order today and the rest coming out in March. This is one form of spring cleaning were actually looking forward to.
