My kids, ages 2-12, will stay busy for hours wrapping these around wooden popsicle sticks making characters and playing games with them. They draw a face on the popsicle stick with a marker and use the wiki stix to form elaborate hairdos, arms and legs, and clothing. Definitely a great open-ended toy. I do put them away and bring them back out to keep them exciting. Personally, I hate the texture lol!
These things are great. We have a restaurant near us that gives these to the kids to play with while they’re waiting. My grandkids love them. They make glasses out of them and put them on and all kinds of animals. They’re just awesome!
These are fantastic, hands-on, take up virtually no space & are great for fun and learning. If your child is having trouble holding a pencil, snap a piece off and curl it around the bottom where they hold. The wax will assist. If they are learning to write their name, you can write it on a piece of paper (or more) and have them form the letters and put them on top of the writing. These are awesome for building small motor skills too.
