Kijani Night Time Pull Up Review | #ClothNappyMonday
Kijani Baby is a social business based in Uganda that ethically manufactures cloth nappies while empowering Ugandan mums though job creating. Valerie started this business in 2014 after moving to Uganda with her young children and receiving lots of comments on her son’s nappies. She realized that there were no high-quality cloth nappies in Uganda and created the business to help make affordable, reusable nappies available for Ugandan families but also to help the many unemployed women there.
The nappies from Kijani Baby are now available in the UK and international market too and I am currently testing a few different options with my toddler. In this post, we’ll focus on the Pull Up Night Nappy system, but we also have an interesting Hybrid System that I’ll cover in a separate blog post here. Kijani Baby also make a range of other nappies.
Kijani Night Time Pull Ups are available in three sizes, 2-4 years, 4-6 years, and 7-12 years, which is great as this is something that many parents are looking for but are struggling to find as there are not many reusable pull ups in larger sizes available on the market.
The pull ups consist of a waterproof cover and a snap in waterproof soaker. The cover seems really comfortable with its soft, stretchy sides and has plenty of waist settings. It does not have any rise poppers.
The included soaker is made from bamboo and cotton jersey and has soft leg gussets for leak protection. The soaker has PUL on the back which means the pull ups have a double layer of waterproof fabric. The top of the soaker is lined with suedecloth to provide a stay dry layer to keep your child dry and comfortable through the night.
My daughter is 2.5 years old, and we have the size 2-4 years. They’re a tiny bit big on her but still work well and provide a good amount of absorbency. The design looks so comfortable for my daughter who is growing out of some BTP brands. There’s nothing digging in or rubbing on my daughter’s skin with these Kijani Pull Ups which is very important to me.
Everything seems very well made and high quality. We’ve used and washed these quite a few times now and everything still looks great. The inserts wash very well and get more absorbent with washing too. The inserts take quite long to dry but that’s always the case with natural fibers.

This nappy was kindly provided to us for testing and reviewing purposes. As always, all my reviews are 100% honest and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
